Although confirmation is not a sacrament in The United Methodist Church, it is an important marker along our spiritual journey. At baptism, we become members of Christ’s body. For many, this happens when they are very young. In Confirmation, young people take ownership of their own faith and commitment to the church.

Confirmation is a public commitment to be a part of the faith community in which our parents promised to raise us at our Baptism. Confirmands who have not yet been baptized will be invited to be baptized during the Confirmation Ceremony.

The Confirmation Program at Wesley Freedom runs for the entire school year in place of traditional Sunday School classes.
