Discovery
Discovery is a weekend-long retreat for Middle Schoolers put on by our High School Ministry and Adults. Middle Schoolers stay overnight Friday and Saturday at the church. Discovery explores topics crucial to the spiritual wellbeing and development of all attendees, an extremely immersive and diverse experience that is exceptionally fun! This event is meant for active participants at WFUMC.
Saturday night, students will go to Merritt Athletic Clubs for swim time, games, and showers before heading back to WFUMC for bed.
We expect and encourage all students to participate in the entire weekend; exceptions can be made in special circumstances.
Registration opens in November; space is limited. No spots are guaranteed without registering. Scholarships are available.

Discovery Prep!
Discovery is a Youth Ministries tradition unlike any other at Wesley Freedom. Led by dedicated high schoolers and adults, the undertaking of the weekend-long event known as "Discovery" is a multi-month endeavor of preparation. HSM dedicates four of its Youth Group meeting times to meet and plan with adult leaders, and a Prep Weekend is held the weekend before the event to do a run-through rehearsal.
Discovery is for middle schoolers, by high schoolers, guided by adult servant leaders. But let's be honest: it's just as much fun for the volunteers as the participants! A big part of that is the prep.
