UMCOR

The United Methodist Committee On Relief (UMCOR) provides humanitarian relief and disaster response in the United States and internationally. Efforts are targeted in places where natural disasters, war, or conflict have done so much damage that communities are unable to recover on their own.

On July 4, 2025, historic rain levels led to catastrophic flash flooding along the Guadalupe River in Central Texas. As of July 9, at least 110 people have died, including 27 campers and counselors from Camp Mystic, an all-girls summer camp in Hunt, Texas.
