Wesley Freedom UMC is the only religious organization in the area that features its own youth Dungeons & Dragons club! 

 

D&D is a role-playing, table-top game that allows participants to delve into a fantastical story that revolves around a quest for good to overcome evil. Much of the imagery, gameplay, and world-building of D&D stems from fantasy foundations such as The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia, works that are unarguably Christian and ethical in their frameworks and themes.

Our group of middle school and high school gamers are led by several enthusiastic spiritual adult leaders who have extensive experience as both D&D Game Masters and members of our Church community. There are two groups that meet:  an experienced group that builds on the same campaign each week, and a 'rookies-welcome' group that plays a mini-campaign each meeting.
