Riley & Liv

Teammates on and off the field, Riley & Liv have chemistry that is reflected in their friendship and mutual support of others. Confirmands in eighth grade together two years ago, these young women decided to return to the 8th Grade Confirmation program this year as High School Mentors. Both of them are stalwart attendees and drivers of the mentorship program, an aspect of the class that is vital to helping Confirmands seek realistic and meaningful ways to grow in Faith. Both of them, initially, were hesitant to take this role because they did not feel worthy of it; their humility, coupled with foundations of spiritual strength built with God's help over years of genuine discernment, have made these two uncommonly open and authentic about their faith journies. They are amazing assets to Youth Ministries!

Though travel soccer or schoolwork or family obligations (which both girls are fiercely committed to) may complicate schedules, Liv and Riley make sure to prioritize their call to be active participants in their faith community. They always have a smile for someone they see coming in--the older the person, the bigger the smile! (Hahaha...ha...wait. Riley gave me the biggest smile I can remember the other day. Does it mean? [Darth Vader's epically awful prequel trilogy yell of anguish, don't even get me started] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Andy & Harrison

Two longtime buddies taking their inventiveness, hustle, and compassion to impacting Wesley Freedom in numerous, tangible ways. From being active members of Confirmation and Middle School Youth Group to consistently serving long hours in the tech booth during worship services, Harrison and Andy have made supporting our community a priority. They have volunteered at numerous service events at church and through Scouts, logging way more service hours than they need but not really caring about the records, anyway. They push the envelope and wonder how to make our time more impactful, and that is (often) really good, too! Lol.

This winter, they successfully kickstarted the new YM SERVES initiative by working in collaboration with the youth director to organize a Confirmation Immersion Trip to Washington, DC. It was a fantastic trip and similar events are already being discussed.

These dudes are showing up and showing out for Christ and His people, as scores of youth are at Wesley Freedom.

The Holy Spirit is at work here.
